If you've never been here before, here's a little about us!

Only 2 hours from St. Louis, Bearcat Getaway campground, cabins & Lodge are located on the delightful, spring fed Black River in the Ozark Mountains just a little down river from Lesterville, MO. We offer camping, floating in canoes or rafts, cabins, lodging and entertainment every weekend!  Whether on the campground stage or on the Black River Amphitheater stage, you'll experience some of the best regional and national bands and exciting music festivals.  With over 1/2 mile of beach front and no quiet hour until 2 am, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the music, river and friends until the wee hours or stay by your campfire in a secluded campsite, enjoy the sounds of nature and the river. . . then drift off early. . . .It's up to you.  Because we own both sides of the river, your view is one of a pristine forested Ozark river bottom.  Nothing gets in the way of nature, abundant wildlife and a wall of trees.  Serious birdwatchers will be very impressed.  Enjoy fishing, wildflowers, swimming and relaxing by the water with friends and family.  We have a huge campground with varied and remote sites.  Let us know what you're looking for! We can accommodate any number of your family or friends with your own private camping area.  Just let us know in advance.

Bearcat Campground offers separate, modern bathroom facilities with free hot showers for men and women that are wheelchair accessible. 

At Bearcat, there's no reason to worry about hauling your food or firewood.  Firewood is included in the cost of your camping.  Please visit our Bearcat Bistro and General Store while you're here.  We offer a a delicious, full BBQ Dinner on Saturday evening and an all you can eat breakfast on Sunday morning at our Bistro.  Or, feast at our food bar in our general store!  If you forget to bring something, chances are we have it in our store.

Take all the time you need to look around our site then join us for Missouri canoeing or rafting on our beautiful river.  The Bearcat staff looks forward to helping you have the best and most fun outdoor experience of your life!  We're a hop, skip and a jump from Johnson's Shut-ins ~ a campground near Elephant Rocks, Johnson's Shut-ins and Taum Sauk Mountain State Park.  Be sure to check out these natural wonders while you're here.  Call 573-637-2264 for your reservations now!  Time's a wastin'!
